We will be having a contest to see which classroom can collect the largest dollar value of Box Tops. Grades K – 8th can participate. For all grades the Box Tops will be collected in your child’s homeroom class except for the 6th graders where they will be collected in their 2nd period class.

The winning classroom will be treated to an ice cream party. Prizes will also be awarded for the second and third place winners. You can get other friends and family involved to help boost your child’s contribution. The contest will end Friday, Oct. 24th.

Service Project/Walk-a-Thon for Lydia!

Our 6th grade classes are doing a service project to help a 2nd grade Reagan Academy student with the costs of her surgery and, the prosthetic that she needs after her surgery is complete. For more information about Lydia’s situation, visit  https://www.giveforward.com/fundraiser/px34/a-new-foot-for-lydia. The 6th grade has also placed cans in each classroom to collect any coins, change, or money that people want to donate to help Lydia. All of the money collected will go directly to Lydia’s family.

The students have also organized a walk-a-thon on Thursday, April 24th  –  2nd & 6th. Fundraiser for a Reagan Student

As a Reagan family, when one of our own stands in need, we like to do what we can to help.

Meet 8-year old Lydia.

Lydia

Lydia will be getting her foot amputated at the end of March and due to so many medical expenses, the family has set up a fundraiser account through giveforward.com. This fundraiser is to help pay for medical bills and help the family meet their deductible for the up-coming surgery.

Please, if you are able to help donate any amount, no matter how small, or if you are unable to help financially, please help by passing Lydia’s story and link to her fundraiser via email, Facebook, and any other social media, we know the family would really appreciate it.

To read Lydia’s story and to donate, go to https://www.giveforward.com/fundraiser/px34/a-new-foot-for-lydia

Good Luck Lydia! We’re all rooting for you!

This year, Target will give money to schools all over the country for one simple act: a vote. Our school needs just 25 votes to earn a $25 donation from Target. But that’s only the beginning. For each additional vote, our school will get $1 more. So please remember that, although the gesture is small, the rewards are potentially huge. Go to GiveWith.Target.com to vote for Reagan Academy once a week through September 21 or until Target has given away all $5 million. And please forward this email to your friends. Vote and see rules at GiveWith.Target.com.
Thanks,

Box Tops for Education Marketplace:

Not many parents have taken advantage of this program. Just a brief idea of what this is… Box Tops has partnered with many of the most popular stores on the web like JC Penny, Lands’ End, Barnes and Noble, Best Buy and Target.  When you shop through the Box Tops Marketplace with one of these merchants, schools earn a cash donation with every qualifying purchase up to 8% at no additional cost to customers.  If this is your first time visiting the website, you can register at (http://www.boxtops4education.com/) to become a member (no cost) then click on the Marketplace tab to start shopping.

Campbell’s program:
In the past, we have exchanged a majority of the point value from this program to acquire needed equipment for recess and PE programs. We were able to purchase 100% of the equipment need for recess and about 1/3 need for the PE program.  In the spring of this school year, we will be making some additional purchases. Please know it was this program with all the UPCs you submitted that have and will make this possible.

Please submit your UPCs for the Labels for Education program along with the Box Tops to your child(ren)’s teacher.

For a complete listing of all participating, Campbell products, please visit:

Just a reminder, the Campbell’s UPCs cannot be counted toward this contest since they do not carry any dollar value.
