Reagan Academy School Carnival Friday, Sept. 5, 4:00-7:30 PM

This will be wonderful night where parents, students, teachers and the community can enjoy activities together while raising funds that will directly benefit the students of Reagan Academy.  The money that we raise will go to support activities such as Red Ribbon Week, White Ribbon Week, the Science Fair, the birthday table, staff appreciation, and other PVO supported activities. Feel free to invite your friends and neighbors, and “share” this great activity.  The following pricing information will help you plan for a great family night out. Games and rides can either be purchased individually with tickets, or by buying the appropriate wristband.  Food can be purchased with tickets or cash.

Appreciation Week is Here!

This week is Appreciation Week – a week where we get to tell and show our student’s teachers, assistant teachers, and many staff members how important they are and that we truly do appreciate all that they do! Our school would not be the best if it wasn’t for our Teachers, ATs, and Staff!

There are many opportunities for you to show your appreciation for our “Super Heroes” around the school. If you’d like to do something to show your appreciation that is NOT on the list, feel free to do so!

Please remember – the Assistant Teachers, Lunchroom Workers, Recess Workers, Maintenance, Office Support, Admins, and many other Staff do a lot of hard work that you might not see – if you are able, please show them how much you appreciate them too!

Upcoming Events

March 21: Student Talent Show Rehearsal – 5th – 8th grade only. K-4th will not be rehearsing on stage.

March 28: Student Talent Show – After watching the talented students here at Reagan Academy,  we have decided to add another show in order to allow more students the opportunity to perform.  There will be 3 shows as follows:

• ·        Elementary K-4 grade show Thursday, March 27 @ 6:00 pm, Reagan Auditorium
• ·        5^th-8^th grade show Friday, March 28 @ 6:00 & 8:00 pm

Volunteers Needed – Appreciation Week!

Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week is quickly approaching.  I would like to hold one more planning meeting to finalize plans and any assignments that are needed.  The meeting will be this Friday, March 7 at 12:00pm in the step down at the school.  I am especially needing parents that are room parents to their children’s classroom, or parents that would be willing to help in their children’s classroom.  We need help with the door decoration (materials and instructions will be provided.  You won’t have to come up with something on your own) some of this can be done at home and then brought to the school Friday, March 21,  and we also need help in the classroom for 30 minutes at the end of the day on Friday, March 21.  If you can’t make it to the meeting, but you are able to help on Friday, March 21 please let me know.  If you know of anyone that would possibly like to help, please feel free to forward this email to them.

Volunteer Opportunity: Staff Appreciation

Parents,

We are looking for more volunteers to help plan, prepare and run Staff Appreciation Week (which is March 24 – 28). If you are interested in joining this committee, please come to our first meeting on Wednesday, January 15th at 10:30 a.m. in the drop down across from the front desk. Please come with ideas to go along with a “Superhero” theme (decoration, gift or service ideas, things to get the families involved, etc). Staff Appreciation Week

We are so excited to show Reagan Teachers and Staff how much we appreciate them next week (March 25-29). The theme for the week is Hollywood because we think our teachers are “Stars” and should be treated like celebrities.

By the front office there will be a decorated box for “Fan Mail.” We encourage you and your children to take the time to write a note of appreciation to their teacher and/or any staff member who has made an impact in their lives. Be sure to mark their name clearly on the card or envelope. We will empty the box at the end of each day and hope to be able to put something each staffer’s mailbox EVERYDAY.

Thank you for your help with this! The Reagan staff will truly feel loved.
