Kindergarten – 2nd grade: “Night at the Museum”

3rd grade: “Disney Fun”

4th – 6th grade: “Man vs. Wild”

Middle School: “Barbie Bonanza”

*There will be activities for the whole family – a free movie, crafts, frozen yogurt, and more…

Veterans Day

America has a sacred trust to care for those who defend her.  From the warriors who stormed the beaches at Normandy to the brave men and women returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.  Our Veterans share a legacy of service that crosses generational lines and upholds the values upon which our Nation was founded: service to a cause greater than self.
On Veterans Day, November 11, we come together as a Nation to thank and honor Veterans and active service Men and Women for their service.  With that being said we would like all of you to invite your Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Neighbors that have served our country to join us for Breakfast on November 11, 2013.  Breakfast will be served at 7:00 AM at Reagan Academy.  Please RSVP srichardson@reaganacademy.org if you would like to attend, or if you know of someone that would like to attend.

Christmas Books

While it may seem a little early, the Book Fair Committee is already thinking about Christmas gifts! The Book Fair Committee has saved the money earned through past book fairs to buy a book as a gift for every student at Reagan this Christmas.  Working with Scholastic Books, we have come up with a list of books that you can pick from for your student to receive as a gift from the school this Christmas.  In the next few days a form will be coming home with a list of books to choose from for your child. Please choose one book from the list and return the form to your child’s teacher by Tuesday, November 5th. Please return 6th grade forms to Mrs. Benson, 7th grade forms to Mr. Bray, and 8th Grade forms to Mr. Lakes. There will be a Scholastic book fair in December, so please remember which book you choose to avoid accidentally buying the same book at the fair. The books will be delivered to your child’s teacher to distribute before Christmas break. Merry Christmas, a little early!

Art & Basket Auction – November 8th

ABA-Icon

As we ramp up for our Annual Art & Basket Auction, we wanted to remind you of the fantastic Art portion of the night! We have some great artists on board this year – we are very excited to see what they create that evening.
If you are or if you know of an artist who would like to participate in the art auction, please let us know. In years past, we have had over 20 original art pieces (as well as several prints) that were auctioned off bringing in over 50% of the funds. Ten (10) of the original art pieces were created during our “quick draw” that evening. A “quick draw” is when an artist creates something during a short time period. In our case we give the artists 2-3 hours to work on their piece and in the end whatever they have created will be auctioned off. These are one of a kind, original art pieces that are created before our eyes.
We have also attached a basket donation form that can be filled out and returned to the office. Families can help by donating a basket of their choice to the auction and/or items for the teacher mega baskets. The funds raised from this year’s auction will be awarded to teachers through In School Teacher Grants. Support our school and teachers by turning in your family basket.
Thank you!
