Box Tops Contest deadline Friday, Oct 24

Hopefully those Box Tops that you have been saving all summer can now be put to good use for our school. We will be having a contest to see which classroom can collect the largest dollar value of Box Tops. Grades K – 8th can participate. For all grades the Box Tops will be collected in your child’s homeroom class except for the 6th graders where they will be collected in their 2nd period class.

The winning classroom will be treated to an ice cream party. Prizes will also be awarded for the second and third place winners. You can get other friends and family involved to help boost your child’s contribution. The contest will end Friday, Oct. 24th.

Autor Visits Today!

Hello Parents!

I wanted to let you know of an amazing opportunity that our Middle School students will have this Thursday, September 11th. Two nationally known authors, Bree Despain and Colleen Houck, are coming to speak to students from 1:30-2:30. They will be speaking about their experiences with writing and will tell students about their two new books, Tiger’s Promise (a prequel to the Tiger’s Curse Series) and The Shadow Prince (Into the Dark, book 1). The authors will be available afterwards to autograph books for anyone who is interested. If you are already familiar with these authors and have books at home that you are interested in having signed, please send them with your middle school student on Thursday. When I spoke to Mrs. Houck it sounded as though she was bringing a lot of books to give away to students (who might want them signed). Please be aware and plan a few minutes extra for carpool just in case the autograph line is longer than expected.

Thank you,
Mrs. Peterson

Director and Donuts and PVO Meeting Tomorrow (Wed) 8:15

Come join the Reagan Academy Administration and meet your new PVO board members tomorrow. This is a public forum where you can share your concerns and ideas to make our school great! Also, you can find out what activities are coming up and get your questions answered. We would love as much parental involvement as possible. Parents frequently bring younger siblings to this meeting, who enjoy the donuts as well. Instead of just dropping off your children, park the car and come in and participate. The meeting is held in the drop down room just as you enter the school. This meeting is held the first Wednesday of each month.

Reagan’s New Website

If you haven’t done so yet, check out Reagan Academy’s new website!  You may subscribe to the calendar to get timely updates. Upcoming events are listed on the front page as well.  It’s easier than ever to communicate with teachers and staff. If you’re looking for class supply lists, see the drop-down menu under “parents.”
