Registration for 7th and 8th grade electives has been sent home with middle school students. A parent signature is required on all elective forms. Forms are due to the office by Wednesday, May 1. Mrs. Shade will be meeting with students to go over each student’s individual schedule during the week of May 6.
Character Casual Day: Red, Heroism and Courage
Reagan Academy students exemplify character. Each month they can represent the chosen character trait by wearing a colored clothing item of a specified color. All Reagan students may wear anything that falls within the Reagan Academy casual dress guidelines as long as their clothes contain the character color. If students are not in uniform they should be wearing at least one item of clothing that is mostly red. This item should be easily visible. For example, students cannot simply wear a red headband.

Students may wear clothes and accessories of their own choosing as long as they meet Reagan Academy’s dress guidelines. As always, please remember that on non-uniform days, general guidelines still apply, though students are not required to wear designated uniform items. Jeans are allowed. Please refer to the handbook for a complete listing. The following items are not allowed:
Clothing with holes, tears, or stains
Spaghetti strap, or midriff tops
Clothing with vulgar, sexual, or profane words, phrases or images
No face paint or hair color
Open toe or heel shoes
Socks or stockings must be worn

The Birthday Lunch Table is every 1st Thursday of each month. All children celebrating a birthday that month and their parent(s) are invited to participate in this fun, new tradition. If parents would like to purchase a pizza or a salad from the cafeteria the cost is $2.50, If parents plan on attending, you must RSVP to Mrs. Richardson in the office — (801) 489-7828 — by Wednesday, May 1 at 3:00 pm. The final book fair of the year is here! Reagan Academy is having an A+ Book Fair, and there are tons of fantastic books to choose from. There is a great selection of children’s picture books and early readers, as well as lots of young adult books for more advanced readers and parents!
The book fair will be open in the library today – Tuesday, April 30 through Thursday, May 2 from 7:45a-3:30p and Friday, May 3 from 7:45a-1:30p. We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards.
Over the past several years we have been able to provide books for the library, teachers, and students with the money raised by our book fairs. This is a terrific time to stock up on books for the summer, as well as support reading and the love of books at Reagan Academy. We’ll see you at the book fair!

We need more volunteers for Field Day on May 22! We’ll be celebrating a year of hard work with games like football toss, wacky waiter, frisbee golf, sponge and bucket races and we need parent volunteers. Each station will need help both running and gathering needed items for each station. Let’s make Field Day fun and exciting for our students!
The PVO is assembling and updating classroom emergency buckets. There are a total of 40 classrooms with 26 students in each classroom. Each bucket will contain items that a teacher can grab-and-go in case of any emergency. The list was adapted from the Red Cross School Emergency Supplies List. Below please find the list of items and the quantities that are needed to complete the Emergency Buckets.

Our spring book fair is another week closer, and we have added some new opportunities to help out! We are in need of refreshments for the teacher preview on Monday, April 29. We also have several shifts still open to staff the fair, especially in the mornings.

Book Fairs are a great way to encourage reading in your family, and help support Reagan Academy at the same time. Over the years we have been able to provide the library, our teachers, and our students with books with funds raised through our book fairs. This A+ Book Fair will be in the library from Tuesday, April 30 through Friday, May 3, with a special “Family Early Bird” sale during the Teacher Talent Show on Friday, April 26.
