Dear Reagan Academy Parents and Students,
In recognition of Music in Our Schools month, we are inviting students to show off their amazing talents! All month, students will have the chance to perform for their homeroom and music classes with a culminating school-wide talent show on March 28. This is our annual music department fundraiser, and we would like to invite everyone to get involved.
Kindergarten-Fourth Grade Information
This week, students in Kindergarten through 4th grade will have the opportunity to perform for their homeroom classes. Please look for information from your child’s homeroom teacher for the date and time.
Five lucky students will be nominated from each Kindergarten through 4th grade class to move on, and perform for their music class the following week, March 10 -14. Ms. Barnett will then pick the final participants for the March 28 6:30pm show for Kindergarten through 4th grade students.
Fifth-Eighth Grade Information
Students in 5th through 8th grade will have auditions on March 14 between 1:00 and 3:00 pm in the auditorium, with teachers as judges. Sign-ups for audition slots will be on the auditorium door Wednesday, March 12. The 5th -8th grade finalists will perform March 28 at 8pm.
Each show will cost $2 per person to attend. All proceeds will go to help our music programs at Reagan Academy. We can’t wait to see Reagan Academy’s students in “You’ve Got Talent Reagan Academy!”
Performance details: All talents are welcome but, students need to be modest and lyrics must not contain profanity or vulgarity. Talents do not need to be specifically instrumental. Dance, poetry recitations, etc. are welcome. Ensemble groups are welcome but the majority of the members need to be from Reagan Academy. Talent show entries need to be less than three minutes long.
